This position will be managing a large purpose-built supported living complex with 13 personalised self-contained flats in Ruislip. A team made up of a deputy manager and support workers provides support to residents who have learning disabilities and some mental health diagnoses and physical disabilities. Duties will include Actively lead the team’s development by actively coaching and training colleagues in person-centred support practices and approachesCarry out regular 1-2-1s, team meetings and annual reviews with all team members, giving and acting on received feedback and identified development needsEffectively manage risks of the people we support through ensuring team members understand what is important to the individual(s)To use information technology to undertake a range of administrative tasks, follow procedural guidelines, complete appropriate documentation in required formats, and compile detailed written reports About you To be a Team Manager, the following are essential Experience of supporting people with learning disability or mental health.Track record of enabling choice and control to be a reality for people with learning disabilities or mental health.Experience of leading teams to embed person-centred working.An understanding of the challenges that are likely to be faced by many people with disabilities or mental health.
