Job Description We are seeking a skilled and versatile Handyperson / Painter to join our maintenance team in Novotel York. In this role, you will be responsible for a wide range of maintenance tasks, with a primary focus on painting and general repairs. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, efficient, and able to handle diverse maintenance challenges. Responsibilities Perform high-quality painting work on interior and exterior surfaces Execute general maintenance and repair tasks, including basic carpentry and plumbing Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and applying primer Mix and match paint colors to meet specific requirements Maintain and organize tools and equipment Identify and report any major maintenance issues to management Adhere to safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner Assist with other maintenance tasks as needed Qualifications Proven experience as a handyperson or painter Proficiency in various painting techniques and use of painting tools Basic carpentry and plumbing skills Knowledge of safety procedures and proper use of personal protective equipment Ability to use hand and power tools effectively Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Excellent time management and organizational abilities Relevant vocational training in painting or general maintenance (preferred) Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed Benefits Great talent deserves great rewards so here's just some of what we are able to offer : Training and development programs Discount card to be used in Accor hotels worldwide Complimentary stays in UK hotels (Bonus Breaks - subject to T&C) Meals on duty Uniforms Employee Advisory Service Discounts in shops and Hotel’s partners (Europcar, Merlin Entertainment etc.) Why Accor?
