Pre Litigation File HandlerDepartment: Claims ManagementEmployment Type: Permanent - Full TimeLocation: BoltonCompensation: £23,000 - £25,000 / yearDescriptionThe Pre-Litigated File Handler will run and maintain their own caseload of up to 250 pre-litigated files to conclusion or the point of litigation. These will consist of a mixed caseload between NIHL (Noise Induced Hearing Loss) claims as well as HAVS (Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome) claims.The successful candidate will undertake a variety of tasks on pre-litigated files to ensure all Client KPI’s and SLA’s are met. This role would be ideal for a candidate who is looking for experience running their own caseload.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain a caseload of approximately 250 filesCompletion of Tracker Strategy documentSending out Initial Letters and completing initial file opening procedures upon receipt of new files.Companies Searches and ELTO SearchsDirector searches and lettersInstructions to investigatorsTelephone/email chasers to claimant solicitors, insurance companies and brokers for HMRC Schedule, medical evidence, mandates and updates.General admin including diarising dates for Protocol expiryEscalation of files to Team Leader for review when key milestones triggeredUpdating database on TrackerPolicy queries to client for insuredRequesting documents from InsurerRequest and review OH & Personnel records from insuredReview medical, engineering evidence and witness evidence.File Closure.Notifying brokers and co-defendants of closureGeneral admin - diary datesUndertake ad hoc duties to support the team as requiredTo ensure compliance with the SRA Standards & RegulationsAdhere to the Keoghs ValueSkills, Knowledge & ExpertiseThe successful applicant should have the following skills:Desirable:Awareness and understanding of file handing processes for disease claims.Technical knowledge of NIHL &/or HAVS claims.Basic understanding of all stages of the pre litigation process for disease claimsEssential:Proficient in MS Office (word and excel in particular) and experience of using a Case/Claims Management system.Ability to use own initiative, self-organise and self-prioritiseGood listening and communication skillsAbility to self-organise and self-prioritiseAbility to work under pressure and to targetGCSE grade A-C in English and MathJob BenefitsDavies Incentive Plan25 days holiday per year which increases with level of service (opportunity to buy & sell 3 days)Simply Health Care Cash PlanWeCare – 24/7 online GP, mental health support and virtual wellbeing covering a whole host of topics to do with health, mental health, wellbeing & healthy living and financial & legal wellbeingDeath In Service – after 1 years’ servicePension Contribution based 5% Employee / 3% EmployerCycle to Work Scheme*Tech Scheme*Season Ticket Loan*Gym Flex*Access to Online Discount SitesDiscounted Gourmet Society MembershipDiscounted Tickets for Merlin Attractions nationwideDiscounts at local retail outlets*after successfully completing probation #J-18808-Ljbffr
