This is thanks to our 135-year-old FTSE250 investment trust and our fast-growing independent professional services business of over 300 colleagues across 6 business lines.Role OverviewWe are seeking a proactive Business Development Executive to support our Business Development Manager in executing strategic growth initiatives and delivering our annual business development plan. This is a key support role that requires strong organisational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative approach to working across multiple teams and departments.The successful candidate will play a vital role in fee quote and proposal management, prospect research, marketing communications, and event coordination while ensuring consistency across all LawDeb group activities.Job Role & ResponsibilitiesOverall Responsibility & AccountabilityAssist the BD Manager in executing against agreed strategy and support the delivery of the annual BD Plan for [transaction services currently supporting Corporate Trust, Service of Process & Structured Finance)Work with the broader BDM team on group business development and marketing activities, ensuring that services provided to LawDeb are consistent with the rest of the groupBusiness Development SupportFee quote & Proposal SupportDevelop and maintain template responses to frequently asked questionsDraft specific responses for fee quotes and proposal submissions in liaison with BD Manager and relevant subject matter expertsCoordinate the entire fee quote process from receipt through to response submission, ensuring compelling responses are created and deadlines are metAssist in creating compelling presentation material for interview stagesMaintain comprehensive records of wins and losses for analysis and improvementProspect Management & ResearchManage prospect databases for LawDeb in agreement with BD Manager, keeping lists and activities current and accurateConduct detailed research on prospects to support the BD team's and wider subject matter experts’ activitiesMonitor key competitors' activities and market positioningConduct targeted outreach activities with the referring legal network to showcase LawDeb's broader service offering including outreach and scheduling for regional and international visits for business heads and subject matter expertsCross-Selling & Internal CollaborationIdentify cross-selling and introduction opportunities across all group business departmentsSupport the execution of cross-departmental business development initiativesFacilitate connections between different service areas and client opportunitiesMarketing CommunicationsDraft high-quality communications ensuring appropriate content, tone, and consistency for both digital and printed marketing collateralCreate and maintain up-to-date marketing materials relevant to business products in line with established branding guidelinesEnsure all communications reflect LawDeb's professional standards and brand valuesEvents ManagementSupport the strategic planning for attendance at key industry eventsAssist in hosting events that exemplify and communicate LawDeb brand values and expertise in the professional services sphereCoordinate event logistics to maximise opportunities for winning client workManage post-event follow-up activities and relationship developmentEssential Knowledge, Skills & ExperienceEducation & ExperienceEducated to degree level, with evidence of further study and/or additional qualifications in marketing and/or communications preferableAt least three years' experience in B2B/professional services business development, sales, or client support/account management roles with brands of reputable standingDemonstrable experience, network, and knowledge of professional services will be a distinct advantageCore CompetenciesKnowledge and understanding of media platforms, including social mediaTrack record of proven delivery, demonstrating both creative and analytical skillsAbility to manage projects using a collaborative and professional approach and operate effectively under pressureSkilled at developing relationships with colleagues and other professionals including clients, partners, press, and other contactsAbility to work independently and make decisions while knowing when to seek guidanceStrong commitment to meeting deadlines and delivering quality outcomesHigh levels of motivation to be a self starter, curiosity and eagerness to learn about LawDeb products and business lines.Proven SkillsCommunication & Content CreationExcellent communication and literacy skills, including writing creative and engaging copyStrong proofreading and content correction abilitiesAbility to adapt tone
