Position Summary We are looking for a SEN Mental Health Support Assistant to support boys and girls in Aylesbury: a larger primary and secondary provision with over 50 students, aged 5‑19. Location & Working Hours Location: BletchleyContract: Long‑term, 5 days a week, 8:30 – 16:30Salary: £450‑£500 per weekStart date: ASAP or January, depending on availability Role Overview As a learning support assistant you will work in small groups (3‑6 pupils) with a staff‑to‑student ratio of 1:1, supporting students with social, emotional and mental health needs. You will help maintain a safe environment, aid learning, and build strong relationships with pupils. Responsibilities Support mental health and SEN needs of pupils in class settings. Maintain a safe and therapeutic learning environment. Create and implement individualized support plans. Collaborate with teachers and specialists to meet student goals. Document observations and progress. Encourage key personal skills such as sport, cooking, coding, etc. Requirements Undergraduate degree preferred (or relevant SEN experience). Experience or knowledge of mental health and autism, particularly gender‑specific differences. Strong general education skills in English and Maths, level 5 or above desired. Passion for developing outside‑interest activities that foster personal skills. Understanding of varied learning and behavioural needs (SEMH). Ability to qualify and disqualify roles independently. Ideal Profile Graduates in Psychology, Criminology or related fields with an interest in social justice, the criminal justice system and advocacy are encouraged to apply. #J-18808-Ljbffr
