Cardea Healthcare is a specialist healthcare recruitment agency providing outreach services. We are currently recruiting for charismatic and friendly Mental Health Community Support Workers who will be working with a variety of people within the community with a wide range of mental health needs.

**Job Summary**

The main responsibilities of the job are to support the people within their own homes or in the community to provide support with activities of daily living.

**Main duties and responsibilities**:

- Social inclusion
- Sourcing activities for the individuals to partake in
- Assistance with employment or education
- Managing challenging situations and behaviours including Crisis Intervention
- Escorting to medical appointments
- Writing accurate and factual daily reports
- Promoting and ensuring privacy and dignity
- Working in a team and on an individual basis
- Assisting with managing budgets and finances
- Encouraging independence within everyday tasks such as cleaning, cooking etc
- Assisting with personal care (dependent on need)
- At least 6 months care experience
- Ideally have a driving licence and access to their own vehicle
- An up-to-date DBS
- Willing to travel
