Description Job Profile This role reports into the People Director and will be focused on supporting the Retail Teams across the UK and Internationally with all People related activities. We are in an exciting stage of the people journey at Mountain Warehouse with the role focusing on change, transformation and improving the colleague experience across our retail estate. Some of the exciting projects in the pipeline include, working with the teams to drive commercial performance through coaching, succession planning and focussed delivery of people initiatives. Helping create and support a ‘One Team’ culture through consistent practices, communication, and development of policies. Working with the Retail Leadership team and core People Teams to drive people metrics, champion inclusion and support the development of a great colleague experience. Partnering Partnering with the Retail Directors, Regional, and Country Managers. Partnering with the HR Support services in the UK and Internationally Working alongside the Head Office HR Business Partner to align on ways of working, central policies, and processes. Working with the Payroll team to support all pay and reward activities. Working alongside Retail Operations to ensure consistent communication, policies, and processes. Supporting complex Employee Relations cases globally utilising external legal support where needed. Policies and People Practices Drive progression and change through the management and development of the relationship with our external HR solutions partner, and external employment law advisors, both across the UK and International territories. Ensure consistent decision making, and support with line manager confidence in handling people activities. Support in the development of Area Managers to create a great colleague experience, ensuring consistent people decisions across all areas and regions. Work alongside the Head Office HR Business Partner on all compliance activities including Right to Work, employment contracts, Retail Handbooks, Policies, Values and Behaviours. Lead on Pay and Reward across retail, including annual salary reviews, NMW uplift, international equivalents, bonus, and new benefit opportunities. Work alongside stakeholders to deliver and support improvement of processes and procedures in line with new or streamlined activities. Such as scheduling, customer service, footfall, people initiatives, values, behaviours etc Talent / Succession Partner with the L&D team on training needs, development, and succession planning. Support adoption of yearly review process to enable clear goal setting and development opportunities. Embed succession planning roadmap aligned to achievement books to create momentum, career opportunities and career paths. Support L&D with the launch of new strategic People Development initiatives , ensuring they are adopted and embedded into the teams. Performance Lead on data analysis to identify trends and solutions such as exit interviews, long term sickness etc. Support data capture across retail to enable improved people processes including D&I. Work with HO HR Business Partner on acquiring and launching a new HRIS ensuring this is embedded across the retail teams. Point of contact within People so support with store closures and openings – working as part of cross-functional team to ensure consistency and provide updates to wider People Team. Partner with Retail TA Managers on key data driven metrics including time to hire, management vacancies, new stores / markets, and internal succession opportunities. Culture Helping leave cultural change aligned to the business strategy. Establishing ways to achieve a united “One Team” approach. Create a strong colleague experience in line with the business values while ensuring our colleagues wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do. Take the lead on innovation and people change and support with the adoption of new ways of working. Empowered to lead the change in culture driving initiatives Key Requirements / Experience Experience within Retail or a multisite brand with an international presence. Relationship management, especially at managerial and stakeholder levels Logical, analytical and problem-solving skills for evaluating business metrics and determining ways to make improvements. Managing end to end processes. Comprehensive understanding of employment laws, including inclusion and diversity programmes. Comprehensive understanding of the industry, focus area and business trends. Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks and requirements. What’s in it for you?
