Location: Ripe Head Office, The Royals, Manchester, M22 4BJ Job Purpose The Senior SEO Executive is responsible for supporting the SEO Manager to implement Ripe’s SEO strategy, as well as helping to oversee the delivery of a wide range of SEO-led content under the Ripe product umbrella. Principal Accountabilities Support the planning and implementation of SEO strategies across all products under the Ripe umbrella, aligned with business objectives. Identify growth opportunities through organic search and develop actionable plans to improve visibility, traffic and conversions. Support in the strategy and delivery of CMS website migrations from a technical and content perspective. Technical SEO Take ownership in planning and delivering the technical SEO strategy and roadmap, with support from the SEO manager. Report on the technical performance across all websites and provide recommendations and solutions to technical website challenges. Conduct regular technical audits to ensure website health, crawlability, and indexability. Collaborate with developers to implement SEO best practices across site architecture, page speed, mobile usability, and structured data. SEO Content Support the SEO Manager with planning and managing the rolling content schedule in terms of keyword research, topic ideation and seasonal content planning. Conduct GAP analysis and content audits on key product areas to identify new and existing SEO opportunities. Write engaging SEO-led content for insurance product pages and blogs that align with the SEO strategy for each Ripe product and wider business objectives. Ensure that all content produced and uploaded is fully SEO optimised from content and a technical perspective. Work with freelance copywriters, providing them with briefs and managing the relationship. Review, edit and proofread work from freelancers and junior members of the team, from an SEO and editorial perspective. Accountable for CMS management for SEO, such as publishing and editing content across several websites and ensuring it meets the in-house style requirements and creating redirects and sitemaps. Support with the production of monthly newsletters to policyholders and prospects as required. Performance Reporting Monitor and analyse SEO performance using SEO reporting tools, providing the SEO manager with a weekly update on the technical health of the websites. Actively monitoring overall SEO performance with actionable insights and recommendations. Monitor competitor SEO performance and industry trends to identify opportunities and challenges. Produce monthly SEO reports using data from Google Analytics, Google Search Console and SEMrush. Complete content audits as required. Up-to-date knowledge of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and industry trends, and sharing those with the SEO and wider marketing team Stakeholder Management Work closely with Digital PR and Social to collaborate and ensure content is aligned. Build strong relationships across the Marketing team to ensure the SEO strategy aligns with marketing strategy, business objectives, and seasonality. Present SEO plans and progress to internal stakeholders and educate non-SEO teams on best practices and the impact of SEO on the wider business goal. Work effectively and collaboratively as part of the Marketing team, communicating ideas in team meetings and suggesting areas for improvement. Work with the in-house design team, producing creative briefs for a variety of jobs, including images for key landing pages and visuals to support blog posts. FCA Consumer Duty Responsibilities Products and Services Ensure that all activities related to products and services support the provision of customer-orientated products and services that are appropriately distributed to the identified target market. Price and Value Provide information to the customer so that they understand the breakdown of charges and validity period. Ensure that all correspondence with customers provides clear details of the price where relevant. Ensure that all activities provide customers with the information they need, at the right time. Ensure information is presented in a way that customers can understand, allowing them to make informed decisions and pursue their financial objectives. Consumer Support Ensure that all activities support the needs of the customers, enabling them to realise the benefits of products and services and act in their interests without undue hinderance. Provide clear and sufficient information, signposting customers appropriately throughout their buying journey. Ensure that all activities either directly or indirectly ensure fair treatment of customers. Experience Requirements 3-5+ years of hands‑on SEO experience. Proven ability to effectively implement SEO principles, onsite keyword optimisation, and other related SEO tactics as demonstrated by improved search rankings and traffic. Strong understanding of technical SEO principles including site architecture, crawlability, indexation, and structured data. Experience conducting technical audits and working with developers to implement fixes. Ability to interpret data, generate insights, and present performance reports to stakeholders. Skilled in keyword research, on‑page optimisation, and aligning content with user intent. An experienced copywriter having written content for a variety of purposes across different sectors and industries. Confident in conducting keyword GAP analysis to identify new and existing content opportunities. Demonstrable experience in content marketing, reporting, and strategy. Basic knowledge of heading elements, image coding, and linking best practices. Good understanding of the marketing challenges faced by e‑commerce companies. Experience in supporting and contributing to the overall SEO content strategy. Experience working in an agency role. Presenting and pitching to key business stakeholders. Proven background in an e‑commerce role within a sport‑related field or financial services. Proficient in using SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush and Screaming Frog. Extensive experience in using Content Management Systems. Experience of working with various Office products, in particular confident in Excel. Knowledge of AI Search Engines and how they work. Experience producing multimedia content. Knowledge of basic HTML. Personal Attributes Demonstrable proactivity with a positive and curious attitude. A proactive person who possesses a can‑do attitude. Exceptional attention to detail with an eye for consistency. Strong time management skills with the ability to manage different tasks across different products and think ahead. Outstanding all‑round communication skills – written and verbal, with a strong command of the English language – grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Solutions‑focused, proactively offering solutions to SEO challenges. A keen interest in the SEO industry and keen to learn and develop their knowledge by keeping on top of search trends. Strong relationship‑building skills with the ability to work with a wider marketing team and external agencies or partners. An interest in any/all the sectors covered by Ripe’s group of insurance products, and an awareness of key events and trends for the Ripe Insurance product markets, including golf, cycling, sailing, music, fitness and more.
