Senior Sales Assistant Location: Marketplace / Homestore Cannock Hours: 30 hours per week Contract: Permanent Salary: £12.51 per hour Newlife provides access to the vital equipment disabled children and their families rely on, offering information and support through our team of dedicated healthcare professionals and sponsoring pioneering medical research into the causes of birth defects. Through grants and emergency equipment loans, we ensure children get the vital equipment they need when they need it, while our free nurse helpline offers crucial support and information. Our campaigns help give disabled children and their families a voice and have been instrumental in changing laws to benefit the families we serve. We support adults with additional needs through volunteering and employment opportunities, providing a means for career development. The Opportunity This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Supervisor / Sales Assistant looking for their next progression, to make a real difference. The Senior Sales Assistant role in Newlife is unique, allowing you to drive sales, champion great customer service, and act as a critical link between the Sales team and the Store / Deputy Store Manager to generate money to support disabled children and their families. No two days are the same; due to the nature of the business, the product type can quickly change so you must be a fast thinker and swift on your feet to change the layout and merchandising to drive sales. The organisational culture is based on a clear Mission, Vision and Values which you will drive throughout your team by role‑modeling the behaviours at all times. We expect the Senior Sales Assistant to support driving a positive culture in their store. You will be motivated by driving customer service, achieving sales targets and supporting the store team. What We Are Looking For You must be able to deliver operational excellence and put the customer at the centre of everything. You will need to have previous retail experience and be able to work alongside and operate effectively with the Store Manager, Deputy Store Manager and store team. You will maximise retail sales and profit through the effective day‑to‑day coaching and support of a sales team that will be made up of both paid employees and volunteers, live and breathe KPIs. You will use your creative skills and imagination to merchandise the product to a high standard, ensuring the delivery of excellent customer service.
