Salary: £24,872 per annumHours: 37.5 per weekLocation: Covering the North West - predominantly Preston, Merseyside, and WiganJoin Serco in supporting one of the UK's most vital public services. On behalf of the Home Office, Serco delivers the Asylum Accommodation and Support Services Contract (AASC) in the North West. We ensure vulnerable asylum seekers receive safe, secure accommodation and the essential items they need to begin rebuilding their lives.We're looking for a motivated and physically capable individual to join our team. You will ensure the safe transportation of passengers, furniture, and rubbish clearances and ensure the vehicle is maintained in line with the company policy and procedures and report any defects.What You\'ll Be Doing:Delivering and installing white goods, furniture, and household items to propertiesAssembling furniture and fitting appliances in line with safety standardsRemoving and decommissioning broken or outdated appliances and wasteCollaborating with a supportive and dedicated teamTravelling throughout the North West, with a focus on Preston, Merseyside, and WiganDrive company assigned vehicles as required complying with statutory regulations and company policies and procedures to ensure safe practices.Ensure that the welfare and care of passengers and their dependent children being transported is maintained to a consistently high standard, ensuring their moral and legal rights are observed and the constant care of their property is undertaken.What You\'ll Need:Full UK driving licence (Category B)Good geographical knowledge of the North WestStrong communication and teamwork skillsConfidence using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams, Forms)A flexible attitude and willingness to travel long distancesExperience with installing white goods is an advantage but not essential - full training providedIf you\'re reliable, hands-on, and ready to make a difference through meaningful work, we\'d love to hear from you.Why Serco?A place you can make an impact - With approximately 20,000 asylum seekers and more than 5,000 properties you\'ll be delivering an essential service that touches people\'s lives.A place you can count on - Our diverse UK-wide operations offer unrivalled opportunities to learn and develop.
