Fastmarkets is a global business with a history dating back to 1865 and is built on trust and deep market knowledge. It has more than 600 employees spread across global locations in the UK, US, China, India, Singapore, Brazil, Belgium, Finland and beyond. Job Description The Role As a key member of Fastmarkets’ Legal, Risk and Compliance (LRC) team, you will play an active role in implementing and embedding the firm’s risk and compliance framework. This role offers significant exposure to senior leadership and provides valuable insight into risk and compliance issues impacting the organisation in today’s evolving business environment. Principal Accountabilities Implement and monitor Fastmarkets’ compliance programme, ensuring ongoing adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements. Identify, assess, document, and regularly review operational risks in partnership with business functions. Register risk events and manage the delivery of risk incident reports. Develop and review key risk indicators in collaboration with relevant teams. Organise and facilitate risk and compliance assurance meetings with stakeholders. Identify areas of compliance vulnerability and risk, implement corrective actions, and provide guidance to prevent recurrence. Work closely with senior management and business units to enhance visibility of risk exposures and ensure alignment with the organisation’s risk appetite. Drive the continuous improvement of risk procedures, processes, and tools to support proactive risk management. Deliver actionable insights on emerging risk areas to inform executive decision‑making.
