Our vision is to completely re-frame the way that healthcare is delivered.Medefer’s technology platform delivers world-class leading safety, whilst delivering a unique approach in delivering a national service to patients, from referral, to treatment and discharge.ROLE OVERVIEW / SCOPE OF WORK:We are inviting expressions of interest from GMC registered Consultant Gastroenterologists to join our expanding gastroenterology service, by delivering onsite general outpatients clinics across Manchester.As part of a dynamic and collaborative multi-disciplinary team, you will play a central role in the detection, diagnosis, and management of a wide spectrum of gastrointestinal conditions. This is a vital opportunity to help shape and deliver high-quality, timely interventions that improve long-term outcomes for patients across the region.This role entails running face to face clinics in the Manchester area, 1-2 times per month, subject to demand.If you are passionate about improving early diagnosis pathways in Gastroenterology and delivering outstanding patient care, we’d love to hear from you.EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:A Consultant with at least 12 months experience working within a substantive NHS post in Gastroenterology.Registered with the GMC with an active licence to practice.On the Specialist Register and be able to provide current documents in accordance with clinical competence requirements.Committed to collaborative, patient-centred care and continuous service improvementExcellent communication, leadership, and clinical documentation skillsHave an interest in digital health, clinical informatics and in new ways of working.Have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.Possess excellent time management, planning, and prioritising skills.Be detail oriented, able to process detailed information effectively, consistently, and accurately.Medefer is a Disability Confident Employer.We commit to interviewing applicants who declare a disability and meet the minimum essential criteria for the job.
