Overview The outpatient receptionist is an integral part of the team a the Manchester Royal Eye Hospital. We are looking for someone who is proficient, organized, has good time keeping with excellent people and communication skills . They are required to provide a comprehensive service to patients and perform to a high standard the clerical duties. Key Responsibilities A key part of the role will be to work along side our MDT to ensure that all tasks are completed to a high standard and in a timely manner. These tasks include (but are not limited to): Communicating regularly with patient's relatives and loved ones to provide updates as a point of liaison, facilitating the attendance of patients, updating the Hive system, answering and responding to phone calls in a professional and timely manner. To operate within clearly defined limits of policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines within the department and when necessary improve good working practice.
