Hours: 35 hours per week. Hybrid working – 2 days in the office per week, negotiable if needed.In Return We Offer35 hours working weekAnnual bonus scheme35 days holiday per year including bank holidays and Christmas closure, with option to purchase up to 3 extra days per yearPension scheme with tax-efficient salary sacrificeLife Assurance PolicyMedicash policy for dental, optical and other medical expensesCompany sick payEnhanced Maternity, Paternity and IVF schemesDedicated Learning and Development team for growthFlexible, agile working environment and good work-life balanceCalendar of funded company social eventsMonthly voucher awards for winning nomineesMain ResponsibilitiesReviewing medical records and other documentation relevant to the caseSorting and categorisation of medical recordsPreparing Opinion of Merit (OOM) and chronology to assist legal investigations and assess prospects, with knowledge of breach of duty and causationPreparing paginations in paperless format, including use of IT tools and evolving AI toolsUndertaking necessary medico-legal research and understanding relevant professional guidelinesApplying GDPR understanding to identify issues within medical recordsProgression towards Risk Assessment 1sEssential Skills And ExperienceMinimum 3-5 years post-qualification experience in NHS practice / clinical setting as a registered nurseHigh level of accuracy in workAbility to learn and adapt to new environmentsAnalytical skills and strong communication, with attention to detailAbility to work in a team both remotely and in personMotivated, organized, and proactiveAbility to work under pressure while maintaining standardsKnowledge of Audits and interpreting findings to improve practiceBasic understanding of medical recordsExperience using Microsoft OfficeAbout Medical Law Services (MLS)Our MLS teams deliver trusted, expert support to personal injury and clinical negligence sectors.
