The successful candidate will play a key role in undertaking assessments of clinical negligence leads conducted by our medical legal acceptance team with a view to identifying cases where there are sufficient prospects to proceed. In addition, they will provide legal guidance where needed to the Medical Law Services Teams.In Return We Can OfferCompetitive salary35 hours working weekBonus scheme (subject to targets being met)35 days holiday a year including bank holidays and Christmas Closure, you also have an option to purchase up to 3 extra days’ holiday per year, until you long service award the 3 days after your 5th, 7th, and 9th full year of employmentPension scheme with tax-efficient salary sacrifice optionLife Assurance PolicyMedicash policy to cover some Dental, optical and other medical expensesCompany sick payEnhanced Maternity, Paternity and IVF schemesFlexible, agile working environment with a positive work-life balanceVaried calendar of funded company social events (check out Fletchers Group on LinkedIn)Monthly voucher awardsMain Responsibilities For The RoleTo review clinical negligence leads reviewed by the medical legal team and SIDSS.To accept at RA1 any cases which satisfy the ‘acceptance criteria’ as set out in the firm’s policy document.To identify on risk assessment the relevant date of knowledge, record on Proclaim and record the reasons why the limitation period has been set to that date.Provide training, guidance and support to Medical Law Services and Fletchers lawyers as necessary.To support systems teams with the development of the SIDSS system.To provide legal guidance to the MLS Teams and where needed assist with case progression.The above list is not exhaustive of any other tasks, which may be required.The Ideal Candidate Will HaveExperience of handling clinical negligence claimsExcellent attention to detailExcellent case management skillsGood knowledge of medical conditions and ability to identify appropriate case categoriesTo have precise and high-level attention to detailAnalytical skills and a methodical approachAbility to work under pressure whilst maintaining high standardsExcellent communication skillsAbility to work as a team member and remotelyDesirable Qualifications, Skills And ExperienceExperience of Proclaim or other software tools for example Adobe, MicrosoftWe reserve the right to close this role before the date specified depending on the calibre and volume of candidates.About Medical Law Services- MLSOur Medical Law Services (MLS) teams are at the forefront of delivering trusted, expert support to the personal injury and clinical negligence sector.
