Our client is a well-regarded and UKAS accredited asbestos consultancy known for providing a range of analytical and surveying asbestos services to clients across the UK. They are now recruiting for an experienced and knowledgeable Asbestos Lab Analyst to join their busy laboratory based locally to the Harlow area. The successful postholder will hold the P401 asbestos certificate and will be experienced in carrying out bulk analysis on asbestos samples. Consideration will be given to applications from Enfield, Stevenage, Loughton, Ware and the surrounding areas. Qualifications & Experience: The applicant must have attained the P401 asbestos certificate. Must have a proven experience working within this role in a laboratory environment and within the asbestos field. Proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package. Must have excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Duties of the role: Receiving and appropriately logging samples received by the laboratory. Preparing samples for analysis. Carrying out analysis of samples for fibre content. Reporting analytical findings. Completing analysis test sheets accurately as and when required. Getting involved with other laboratory duties as and when required. Ensuring the equipment is kept clean and maintained. In general, the successful applicant will have a committed and adaptable approach to their work as well as excellent attention to detail.
