Come and join usThe Role:The Financial Crime team in HSBC Innovation Banking (UK) (HINV) is the second‑line of defence team responsible for ensuring the firm’s adherence with Financial Crime policies, procedures and controls, the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and UK regulatory requirements. The team covers Anti‑Money Laundering, Counter‑terrorism Financing (CTF), Sanctions, Fraud, Anti‑Bribery and Corruption and Tax Evasion.The team you’ll work with:This role reports to the Financial Crime Oversight Senior Manager and together they focus on delivering an effective governance, reporting and oversight capability enabling the HINV FC function and MLRO to discharge their regulatory obligations in relation to governance and reporting matters. They will be responsible for the delivery of the HSBC Risk Management Framework as it pertains to Financial Crime, management of information to be presented at various Committees, Internal and External Reporting including the annual MLRO Report and oversight of the management of Financial Crime related issues and events.What you can expect to be doing:Support the Financial Crime Oversight Senior Manager in the delivery, coordination and reporting of the Financial Crime Risk Steward responsibilities, to the standards set out in the Risk Steward TUG, including within SLAs where stated.Represent the Financial Crime Oversight Senior Manager in committee and business meetings as needed.Produce reporting on the financial crime risk and control profile for the Risk Steward, including internal and committee reporting, as well as reporting to Regulators, Law Enforcement and other external bodies and contribute to the production of the Annual MLRO report.Conduct analysis, identify MI and provide insight based on quantitative and qualitative inputs, to inform the reporting outlined above.Engage and collaborate with stakeholders across HINV acting as an advocate for Financial Crime Risk Management and helping Financial Crime Risk and Client Advisory colleagues to drive control standards and best practices.Build relationships with HINV first line and HBUK peers to support the delivery of your responsibilities and deepen bilateral understanding of financial crime risks at HINV.Be alert to developments in the external and internal environment and raising these with the team to promote early sight of emerging risks.Share knowledge across the wider Financial Crime 2LOD team, contributing to the success of the team and wider business.Requirements:Prior relevant experience in a financial crime role.Strong knowledge of the group’s RMF and reporting tools such as Risk Maps, RAS metrics, KCI and KPI metrics, RCAs etc.Skilled at drafting concise, clear written reports suitable for a wide range of internal and external audiences.Ability to synthesize complex information effectively.Data analysis and visualization skills.Knowledge of regulatory requirements across Anti‑Money Laundering/CTF, Sanctions, Fraud, Anti‑Bribery and Corruption and Tax Evasion.Understanding of the UK’s regulatory expectations (FCA) and international framework (e.g. FATF, Wolfsberg, sanctions, etc).Strong stakeholder management skills.Comfortable sourcing, identifying and interpreting risk indicators or MI.Where you’ll be based:Our home office in Finsbury Square, London.
