Wehave several research specialities and the Immunology Research Portfolio islooking for a Clinical Trials Assistant. It is a full time post (1.0 WTE), 2year fixed term contract due to funding. This post will be based at SJUH, butmay need to work across site.Thepost holder will contribute actively to the conduct, coordination, anddelivery of the Immunology Research Portfolio. The main tasks are: Patientrecruitment, venepuncture ,data collection and data inputting. In addition ofbeing responsible for ensuring that high standards of clinical care planning,delivery, safety, and patient satisfaction are to a very high standards,compliance with Trust policy, study protocol requirements, local and nationalguidance and legislation is required.Ifyou are interested in the post, we would like to encourage you to contact therecruiting manager for an informal discussion.Expected ShortlistingDate05/01/2026Planned InterviewDate16/01/2026Main duties of the jobWeare looking to recruit a proactive and self-motivated individual with a keeninterest in research to work predominantly in the immunology team.Thepost holder will contribute actively to the conduct, coordination anddelivery of the Immunology Portfolio, working alongside a dedicated team ofNurses and CTA's. The postholder will be expected to carry out tasks such as,approach and consent eligible patients, perform venepuncture and handlebiological samples, other clinical assessments, data collection and inputtingonto the relevant databases alongside maintenance of study documentation andsite files.Thesuccessful applicant will be competent in venepuncture and have basic ITskills with a willingness to learn and develop. They will have excellentcommunication skills, and be a creative problem solver, who is comfortableworking independently and as part of a team.Thepost holder will be required to work alongside industry partners, theNational Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Clinical Research Network (CRN)Yorkshire and Humber (Y&H) and colleagues in neighbouring establishments,attending regional and national meetings as requiredThepost-holder will have the opportunity to develop their research skillsthrough formal and experiential learning, supervision, mentoring and peersupport.About usResearchis at the heart of our Trust.
