Key working relationships include all members of the multi-professional team, including nursing and medical staff, allied health professionals and relevant support workers.To provide personal and social care for patient .To provide psychological support for patients and their families/carers.To work as an effective team member collaborating with the other health and social care teams.To assist in the timely discharge of patients from the hospital .Participate in weekend rotas 24 /7 day working rotas as required .Main duties of the jobYou’ll work under the guidance of a healthcare professional such as a nurse and your job will vary depending on where you’re based. In a hospital, responsibilities include:washing and dressing patientsserving meals and helping to feed patientshelping people to move aroundmaking patients feel comfortablemonitoring patients’ conditions by taking temperatures, pulse, respirations and weightIt can also be an exciting stepping stone into many other NHS roles. As a Band 3 you’ll be supported with development opportunities to complete the national Care Certificate and work towards a Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social care. There are further opportunities to complete a foundation Degree or to become a Nursing Associate or Registered Nurse.Band 3s usually work standard hours of around 37.5 hours per week. However, part time options are also available. There could be shifts that involve nights, days, or a combination of both.
