This full-time position (37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday) involves maintaining critical building systems and equipment, with participation in an emergency on-call rota. Main duties of the job Operate and maintain building engineering systems (PPM's), life-critical services, and equipment. Perform minor electrical & mechanical installation works as needed. Handle day-to-day reactive works and attend emergency callouts. The successful candidate should be able to prioritize tasks and work unsupervised. Job responsibilities Providing multi-skilled Mechanical & Electrical services across all wards and departments. Organizing and prioritizing workload independently and unsupervised. Demonstrating commitment, versatility, and flexibility while undertaking all tasks. Modelling compassionate and inclusive leadership skills and be able to mentor apprentices when required. Person Specification Qualifications Minimum BTEC ONC/City & Guilds in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering, or have an equivalent level of knowledge and experience Recognised EITB Apprenticeship Mechanical & Electrical Engineering. BTEC HNC Experience Experience of working on a wide range of highly complex mechanical and electrical plant undertaking planned maintenance and repairs Relevant experience and professional specialist knowledge of working on highly complex multi faceted equipment within a healthcare environment Other requirements It is an essential requirement of the role that the post holder has a valid driving licence and is either a car owner and able to use the car for work purposes, or has a Trust personal lease vehicle which may be used for the role.
