Procurement Assistant

Heres what youll be doing : This is a 12 to 14 month fixed-term contract role supporting the finance team and widen UK business with our procurement process. Youll be joining a small but mighty team of three to manage and assist with procurement requests contract renewals and supplier relationships. This role is a great opportunity for someone who is commercially-minded and keen to make an impact. As our Procurement Assistant youll : Manage procurement requests ensuring theyre in line with the Simply Business procurement policy. Support the team with day-to-day procurement tasks across various business categories. Maintain and manage the contract database and other supplier-related records. Negotiate pricing and contract terms directly with suppliers under guidance. Collaborate with internal stakeholders across the business. Were looking for someone who is : Commercially-minded and isnt afraid to challenge our suppliers to strike a good commercial deal. Happy to get stuck into working with a large number of stakeholders and suppliers. Comfortable working both internally and externally-facing. Able to operate independently as part of a team. Experienced in using procurement systems (e.g. SAP). Able to prioritise a sometimes significant workload. (We know its tough but please try to avoid the confidence gap.
