About Us We are an established engineering company specialising in the design, manufacture and installation of innovative infrastructure solutions across the transport, clean‑tech and smart‑city sectors. With projects delivered throughout the UK and internationally, we continue to expand and are seeking a talented bid writer to support our growing pipeline of opportunities. About the Role As our bid writer, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to prepare compelling, high‑quality proposals for new and existing clients. You will be responsible for crafting bespoke written responses, managing tender content, supporting pre‑qualification submissions, and ensuring all proposal material is accurate, persuasive and professionally presented. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who thrives in a fast‑paced and collaborative environment. Responsibilities & Duties Producing written responses for tenders, proposals, quotes and information requests. Reviewing and proofreading contributions from technical teams to ensure clarity and quality. Creating tailored content such as executive summaries, capability statements and cover letters. Preparing, formatting and updating supporting materials including CVs and marketing assets. Organising and maintaining a well‑structured library of proposal content. Collaborating with internal teams to gather information and ensure consistent messaging. We are looking for a minimum of 4 years experience as a bid writer or in a similar tendering role, with an excellent proven track record. Key Skills and Experience Strong written communication skills with exceptional attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft Office and confident managing multiple deadlines. Positive, proactive team player with strong organisational and project‑management abilities. Ability to work independently and build effective relationships at all levels. Experience within engineering, construction, civils or related sectors is advantageous. Degree or relevant professional qualification preferred. In‑depth understanding of the full tender and bid lifecycle. Demonstrable experience writing and reviewing high‑quality technical or commercial proposals.
