A leading construction and infrastructure organisation is seeking a talented Bid Writer to join its dynamic submissions team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative and detail-oriented individual with a passion for writing and a flair for producing compelling, high-quality tender responses.

Role Overview

The Bid Writer will be responsible for crafting persuasive written content for PQQs and tender submissions. This includes developing unique responses, case studies, CVs, and supporting materials that align with client requirements and stand out in competitive bidding environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write and edit content for PQQs and tenders, ensuring clarity, consistency, and impact.
  • Collaborate with bid managers, coordinators, and subject matter experts to gather and refine information.
  • Lead storyboarding sessions and manage the full lifecycle of written responses.
  • Create supporting visuals such as flowcharts and diagrams.
  • Ensure all documentation is presented to a high standard and delivered on time.
  • Maintain accurate records using document management systems.
  • Rework existing content and contribute to knowledge management initiatives.

Candidate Profile

Essential:

  • Strong writing background, ideally in journalism, English, or professional writing.
  • Proven experience in producing successful bid or submission documents.
  • Excellent written English, proofreading, and formatting skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Word).

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of the construction or civil engineering sector.
  • Familiarity with Health & Safety and business systems.
  • Experience with Adobe and other design tools.
  • APMP Foundation certification.
