Are you a collaborative Structural Design Engineer looking to take the next step in your career? This is an excellent opportunity to work with high-profile private and public-sector clients while helping shape meaningful, environmentally responsible design. As a Structural Design Engineer, you will contribute to a diverse range of projects, applying strong technical skills, creativity and clear communication. Working closely with Senior and Associate Engineers, you’ll gain hands‑on project management experience and play an active role in the development of junior team members. This position offers genuine progression towards chartership and future leadership responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Structural engineering design across a variety of project types Preparing, presenting and reviewing drawings, reports and calculations Supporting and briefing Technicians and Graduate Engineers Attending project team meetings and undertaking occasional site surveys / inspections Participating in internal design reviews Contributing to bid writing and fee proposals Ensuring compliance with CDM 2015 and internal quality management systems About You Working towards chartership (IStructE / ICE) Strong technical design capability with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset Collaborative communicator who enjoys working as part of a multi-disciplinary team Passionate about sustainable design, architecture and the wider built environment Keen to develop leadership, project management and commercial skills What's on Offer Competitive salary with regular reviews Flexible, hybrid working to support work-life balance Full chartership support and ongoing professional development Opportunity to work on impactful, sustainability-driven projects If interested in this position, but would like to find out more about the role before formally applying, please contact Taylor Smith at Calibre Search Manchester.
