We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Humanities Lecturer to join our team at one of our campuses. With locations in Bedford, Peterborough, Cambridge, Reading, and West London, we offer flexibility in choosing your preferred location for work. Role Overview As a Humanities Lecturer, you will deliver high-quality, engaging lessons to students across a range of humanities subjects, including but not limited to history, philosophy, sociology, and religious studies. You will be responsible for creating and implementing a curriculum that supports academic achievement while encouraging critical thinking and exploration in students. Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging and interactive lessons in humanities subjects to a diverse range of students. Design, implement, and assess student work, ensuring that learning outcomes are met. Provide feedback and support to students, helping them achieve their academic goals. Participate in curriculum development and continuous improvement processes. Attend departmental meetings and collaborate with other staff members to enhance the student experience. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and assessment results. Essential Qualifications and Skills A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant Humanities subject. Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent) Experience teaching Humanities in further education. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and inspire students. Knowledge of current educational practices and the ability to adapt to different teaching methods.
