About the role

The Science Communication Unit sits within the CLCC at Imperial and runs one of the world's most established science communication masters programmes. We are looking for a sessional lecturer to teach a practical option in Digital Media Campaigning.

Imperial is committed to providing an educational experience that empowers graduates to be leaders in their chosen careers and contribute meaningfully to society. The CLCC provides breadth to the study of science, engineering and medicine with a range of humanities-focused courses and modules, including Imperial Horizons, the Science Communication Unit, which offers two Masters' programmes, the Languages Unit, and the Imperial after:hours programme.

What you would be doing

You will develop and deliver a highly-interactive project-based course in Digital Media Campaigning in the summer term over nine three-hour workshops. The position will suit an individual with a good understanding of the needs of science graduates who are pivoting to careers in science communication.

What we can offer you

You will be joining a well-integrated team of science communication researchers and practitioners assembled in one of the world's best universities and you will be teaching a cohort of highly engaged and able students.

As well as the extensive staff development programme offered by the University, Science Communication Unit staff, their family and friends can also make use of a generous fee discount on our department's adult education courses.
