Job OverviewWe are looking for a band 4 Associate Practitioner to provide technical support to the Cellular Pathology Department. To be suitable for this role you should have experience of working within a Cellular Pathology.ResponsibilitiesThe post holder is responsible for carrying out work in the Histology section of the Cellular Pathology Department. They will manage more junior MLA staff, work with human tissues of all kinds, and demonstrate a keen eye for detail and accuracy.Qualifications & ExperienceMinimum of A-levels in science subjects. Candidates should have common sense, an ability to follow written protocol, and an interest in science. Applications are welcomed from candidates with suitable experience and the appropriate qualification.RequirementsAppointment will be subject to references, a health check and proof of a good attendance record.Working Hours37.5 hours per week over standard core Agenda for Change hours.About the PartnershipThe NHS East and South East London Pathology Partnership is an arms‑length organisation providing pathology services to Barts Health NHS Trust, Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust. The Pathology Partnership is hosted by Barts Health. It was formed in May 2021 and undertook a complex transformation programme to establish a single network of laboratories, a single Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and a single Quality Management System (QMS).
