Located in the heart of London with 350 beds, this role requires a hands‑on approach to work, ensuring we deliver cost‑effective facilities and maintenance services. While being responsible when the Residence Manager is not on the property, ensuring all aspects of the residence continue running smoothly.ResponsibilitiesUse your upbeat, outgoing personality to lead, mentor and guide the team to ensure that the residence is running smoothlyFollow up on all sales opportunities and ensure the property is at capacity through short‑term and long‑term letsDrive sales and marketing activities to ensure the residences are full and all marketing channels have been utilised to their full potentialYou have exceptionally high standards, and this is reflected in the overall presentation of the property – you will manage this through regular inspections and working with the facilities teamManage 'the good' and turn around the 'not so good' – meaning you will handle complaints and offer excellent customer service to your studentsMaintain and develop relationships with key players at local universities, as well as internal and external suppliers – again here is that winning personalityBe a smooth operator and ensure the smooth running of the operational calendar and student lifecycle from arrival, departure, and summer turn aroundAlong with the day‑to‑day activities within your role, you will also be required to manage your health and safety responsibilities as set out in Section 7 of the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, where you have a duty to take care of yourself and those around you, by your acts or omissions and to cooperate with your employer on health and safety mattersAct as the responsible person for water hygiene, ensuring safe management and compliance of site water systems, assisting in arranging any remedial actions or water testing required following Legionella Risk Assessments, and ensuring the site remains compliant with the Yugo Water Hygiene Management PlanQualificationsRelevant experience supporting the running of a residence within hotels, hospitality, or better yet student accommodationStrong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to build and maintain quality relationshipsPassion to ensure that students literally have the best experience of their lives whilst living with us aDemonstrates behaviours consistent with our values of integrity, commitment and energyExperience within a fast‑paced, target‑driven environment with strong focus on sales and marketingBenefitsCompetitive salary with annual discretionary bonus25 days annual leaveAdditional 'YuDay' – a paid day off every year to spend as you wish to support your wellness journeySubsidised health care & employee assistant programCycle to work schemeSocial events and moreSo, if you are currently looking to get stuck into an exciting new opportunity where no two days are the same, we would love to hear from you.
