Location: Preston, LancashireJob Type: Ad Hoc / Flexible HoursPay: £83-£95 per day (dependent on experience) Are you a passionate and adaptable Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We're currently recruiting for enthusiastic and reliable SEN Teaching Assistants to join a welcoming SEN school in Darwen on an ad hoc basis through our agency. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll provide classroom and one-to-one support to pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, communication difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health challenges. You'll work closely with the class teacher and wider support team to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive. Provide tailored support to pupils with diverse SEN needs. Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons and interventions. Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation. Help pupils develop independence, confidence, and social skills. Maintain a nurturing and safe classroom environment. Previous experience working in an SEN or mainstream school setting (essential). Understanding of autism, ADHD, SEMH, or other additional needs. A calm, patient, and proactive approach to supporting children. Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply). Flexibility and availability for ad hoc cover at short notice. Competitive daily rates of pay. Flexible working to fit your schedule.
