Description Our client is looking to strengthen their Planning team with a Planner or Senior Planner for the South West Water region. You will provide services to ensure that project plans have achievable timescales and are accurately monitored and updated. Benefits include: Hybrid Working Car / car allowance 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays (with an additional 5 days available to buy) Contribution Pension scheme Life Assurance Health Insurance Private Medical Insurance You will report directly to the Senior Planning Manager and the responsibilities will include : Enable Project Management to control the progress of contracts by identifying and producing integrated programmes of work (design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover). Produce baseline programmes & regularly update them. Monitor performance against baseline programmes and identifying problem areas and potential early warnings. Minimise company risk by identifying the critical path. Produce look ahead programmes when required. Enable resource planning and levelling by appropriate resource analysis of programmes. Advise the PM of NEC contract obligations and contract requirements. Regularly report progress using pre-determined metrics. Contribute to the development of Progress Reports. Assist the planning team at contract and progress review meetings. Enable control of the procurement process by producing schedules for all materials and equipment. About The Candidate Essential Experience of working in the Water / Wastewater industry. Civil Engineering or M&E or Building experience. Good understanding of NEC Contracts. Possess a sound understanding of planning skills and programming techniques. Competent Primavera P6 User. Competent user of Microsoft Office applications. Good communicator. Able to work as part of as team or individually. Able to manage own workload. Understanding of Commercial, H&S, & Environmental requirements.
