Senior Hair Stylist – Role As a Senior Hair Stylist you will work together with your peers to bring to life the ever-evolving ASOS Creative. You’ll be responsible for making sure every model looks and feels ASOS ready throughout their shoot day. The role requires an unflappable, solution focused and hardworking individual with a passion for the brand. Responsibilities Reporting directly into the lead hairstylist and contributing to day‑to‑day running of the hair team. Producing excellent hair true to the ASOS aesthetic for the ASOS 20‑something customer. Being the go‑to person for all things hair related. Working to deadlines, ensuring all models are shoot ready and all KPIs are adhered to. Building relationships and rapport with ASOS models to instil trust in your hair ability. Developing your leadership style and communication in line with ASOS Behaviours policy. Analyzing your own technical hair execution through daily updates and openness to improve. Working closely with Leads and Management team to deliver department strategy and build strong relationships with wider studio team. Overseeing all end‑of‑day jobs to a high standard. Confidently stepping up in absence of the hair manager. Identifying junior team members of opportunities and implementing support. Providing regular support to junior/core team and feeding development areas back. Dealing with model issues professionally in line with ASOS behaviours policy. Demonstrating brand awareness by researching ideas and assessing competition. Displaying constant awareness of latest trends, following each season’s catwalk shows, influencers, Tik Tok, competitors and street styles. Encouraging the team to be authentic, brave and creative and follow all company strategies. Working alongside the model team to maximise each model’s potential and create best ASOS shoot experience. Working with wider shoot team to solve any issues on set. Producing, developing & executing looks for unrecognisable and recognisable model shoots as required. Carrying out daily administrative tasks and shoot preparation. Delivering projects to support department strategy and other ad‑hoc tasks. Supporting culture by championing Diversity, Equity & Inclusion strategies. Qualifications Previous professional hair session styling is essential. Previous fashion e‑commerce experience is essential. Experience with all hair texture types, including wigs, weaves and extensions. Methodical, accurate and extremely organised approach with keen eye for detail. Excellent communication, problem solving and strong interpersonal skills. Remain calm under pressure and think on feet. Assertive and forward thinking. High level of efficiency and “can do” attitude. Unflappable nature thriving in fast‑paced environment. Lots of energy, enthusiasm and real team player. Skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, InDesign, Sitecore and general PC/MAC use.
