Carpenders Park, United Kingdom Teach Now Full time

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? A warm and inclusive primary special school in Watford is seeking two enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to join their dedicated team.

About the School:

This exceptional SEN school provides a nurturing and stimulating environment for children with a range of needs, including learning difficulties, Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), and speech and language challenges. Every child is encouraged to learn, grow and thrive at their own pace within a calm, safe and vibrant setting. The staff team is highly skilled, compassionate and collaborative—working together to ensure each child achieves their personal best.

The Role:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting pupils both in class and through targeted interventions. You’ll help children develop confidence, communication skills and independence, while ensuring they feel valued and understood. No two days are the same—you’ll be part of a team that celebrates small steps and big achievements alike.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with a variety of SEN needs.

• Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons.

• Implement individual education and behaviour support plans.

• Foster a positive, nurturing learning environment where every child can succeed.

• Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, parents, and external professionals.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Have prior experience working with children with SEN, ideally in a primary or special school setting.

• Be patient, empathetic and enthusiastic, with excellent communication skills.

• Demonstrate flexibility and creativity in supporting learning.

• Be committed to inclusion and passionate about helping every child reach their full potential.

Why Join This School?

• A truly supportive, caring and professional team.

• Excellent opportunities for professional development and training.

• A warm, community-focused school where every member of staff is valued.

• The chance to make a meaningful impact every single day.

If you’re ready to bring positivity, patience and purpose to a rewarding role, we’d love to hear from you.
