2 days ago Be among the first 25 applicants What We're Looking For We need someone with a sharp eye for detail, a can‑do attitude, and the ability to think on their feet. As a Breakdown Controller, you'll be the go‑to problem solver, keeping our vehicles moving and our customers happy. You'll need to work well independently, but also be a team player – liaising with garages, customers, and internal teams like Fleet, Hire Desk, and Operations. What You'll Do Take breakdown calls and find solutions by coordinating with suppliers and engineering support. Keep customers updated via phone/email with progress reports on vehicle repairs. Minimise vehicle downtime and escape issues when needed. Raise purchase orders, process recharges, and liaise with Accounts on billing queries. Work closely with Finance, Workshop, and Sales to keep things running smoothly. Keep accurate and detailed records in Syrinx. Always maintain professional, friendly, and courteous communication with customers and colleagues. Cover out‑of‑hours rota (additional pay applies). Any other ad‑hoc duties to keep the operation ticking along. What You'll Bring Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Super organised with strong planning skills and attention to detail. Confident with Microsoft Office. Customer service experience (essential). Vehicle knowledge is a bonus, but not essential. A problem‑solving mindset and ability to stay calm under pressure.
