Our global teams act as geographic, product and industry specialists. Collaborating across geographies and products, we provide comprehensive and innovative financing, advisory and risk solutions to our clients across global sectors such as consumer retail, greentech, infrastructure and industrials, healthcare, technology, media and services, financial institutions and financial sponsors. The EMEA M&A team is one of the largest and highest profile teams within the Investment Banking Division. The team comprises four managing and executive directors, supported by mid‑ and junior‑level bankers, drawn from a variety of countries and backgrounds. The team provides clients with holistic corporate finance advice including strategic advisory, mergers & acquisitions, defence advisory and divestments. Nomura is a leader in global M&A Executed 640+ transactions / US$540 billion in M&A since 2020 US$850 million average transaction size Over 330 sell‑side transactions In recent years Nomura has advised on numerous marquee transactions around the globe, including demonstrating particular expertise in complex cross‑border M&A, with a good mix of sell‑side and buy‑side M&A, having led key transactions including: Carlberg's Rmended cash offer to acquire 100% of Britvic Carlberg's acquisition of Marston's 40% stake in Carlsberg Marston's Limited Acquisition of Mediclinic International plc by Remgro and MSC Acquisition of Cpl Resources plc by Outsourcing Inc Role description Typical work includes a mix of M&A execution and client coverage including valuation, financial modelling, UK Takeover Rules, strategic analysis, due diligence, structuring and documentation, deal financing and process management. Requires close coordination and collaboration with all industry and geography teams, as well as other product teams such as Equity Advisory and Client Financing Solutions (including Acquisition and Leveraged Finance, Risk Solutions Group among others).
