Recovery Support Worker – HMP Onley, Rugby Location: HMP Onley, Rugby Salary: GBP 24,000 per annum Vacancy Type: Permanent, Full Time Closing Date: 16 December 2025 We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Recovery Support Worker to join our team at HMP Onley, working within an integrated healthcare framework to support adults with drug and alcohol needs. This is a hands‑on, people‑focused role where you’ll help individuals make meaningful, lasting changes in their lives. What you’ll do Manage a caseload and deliver both harm‑reduction and abstinence‑based interventions Provide high‑quality assessments, care plans, and 1:1 structured sessions Facilitate group work and structured treatment programmes where required Work closely with partner services including Healthcare, Probation, Transitional Services, Housing, Employment, Gym, and external Drug Intervention Teams to ensure seamless through‑care and release planning Contribute to service targets and measure outcomes Support clinical provision, which may include second signatory duties and oral swab testing What you’ll need A commitment to supporting individuals with complex needs Strong communication and organisational skills Ability to build positive, cooperative relationships with partner agencies Flexibility to work occasional evenings/weekends and travel to nearby projects when required You will be part of a dedicated team making a tangible difference every day, helping people move toward healthier, more stable futures.
