Business Line Audit & Assurance Job Type Permanent / FTC Date published 13-Oct-2025 Resource Management (RM) is a business-critical function at Deloitte. It ensures that we have the right people, with the right skills, in the right locations, available at the right time. As a member of the RM team, you will support the business unit leadership and practitioners, playing a crucial role in the implementation and delivery of RM services to provide operational excellence whilst supporting delivery of the business talent strategy. The role is people-focused and is founded on establishing effective working relationships with all key stakeholders as well as holding, or being keen to develop, a good understanding of Management Information. Connect to your Industry Resource Management (RM) is a critical function for the business, delivering a robust resource plan that aligns talent capabilities, workforce strategy, and business deliverables while mitigating risk and enabling your business to respond to the dynamic market. The goal is to align, release and cycle staff, and to manage the resource rotation across all engagement teams and risk management activities. We help you identify, manage and mitigate potential risks in order to achieve service level targets, while own the practical aspects of the RM process as a final decision maker for engagement resource plans. The RM team will support ongoing management of resource effectiveness, developing ideas and process improvements that help measure and forecast staff utilisation and future demand, thereby enhancing delivery of the business and improving overall business performance. As a subject matter expert, you will analyse data on business needs, project timelines, technology, and business demand, as well as the new and existing skill sets required to support your strategic objectives. Collaborating with senior leaders within the team and across business unit lines you will support the recruitment and development plans, and ensuring that the entire organisation at all levels has the necessary required talent to deliver results, free; over-satisfaction with business resources. In order to provide a successful marketplace system, you play an integral role offering insight and recommendations to influence people and demand decisions and learn taken with great impact. You typically need to : • Deliver a solid RM formula and system combining Talent Intelligence tools, such as PwC Group's Talent - Lattice Power, and other tools such as your chosen solution of your choice. • Use methodology to provide a proven framework covering scaling an effective, efficient RM supply chain and advice with a clear focus on skills. • Analyse and use data to inform resource decisions while managing and balancing critical priorities and challenges, to achieve project outcomes delivering expected hours, and effective utilization across of the entire UK RM program. The role will ensure the consistent approach across RMs monitoring data usage and metrics analysis, and delivering best practice and best practice, that's makes an effective roll out within projects. Own key processes across the RM team in support of Budget Planning, Talent Management, New Joiner & Leaver Processes, MI & Reporting, Learning & Professional Education, Team & Personal Development. Provide regular and accurate management information, analysis, and advice in areas such as staff availability, utilisation, revenue and forecasting accuracy. Liaise, influence and challenge effectively to resolve issues and build relationships at all levels with multiple stakeholders. Deliver optimal utilisation and revenues for the business unit ensuring consideration of commercial aspects of deployment decisions and providing appropriate challenge where necessary. Proactively prepare for and lead Resource Management meetings to ensure that critical staffing decisions can be made quickly. Coach and mentor junior scheduling team members. Become an integral member of a close-knit Resource Management team across the wider UK remit. Connect to your skills and professional experience Confident and skilled verbal and written communicator - ability to cultivate trusted advisor working relationships with practitioners, business unit team members and the wider resource management function. Interpret and analyse Management Information (MI) to identify trends, make connections and spot opportunities to improve profitability. Experience in developing Management Information and strong working knowledge of Excel. Engage with key stakeholders to deliver creative resourcing solutions and manage any issues (e.g., delays in projects starting, conflicts or staff shortages on assignments). Provide a level of flexibility and agility in the staffing model to respond to new / unplanned client requests as work is won; understand the commercial drivers and be willing to prioritise and re-prioritise to make sure all needs are met. Ability to plan and prioritise resourcing requirements - and to multitask, managing a significant workload under pressure with excellent attention to detail. A track record of interacting effectively with empathy, impact, and discretion, cultivating trusted advisor working relationships with Business Unit leadership, practitioners and team members.
