We are currently recruiting for this position, based in London, UK. VP, Production – Animation & Digital Content – Hasbro Entertainment Location: London, UK (Hybrid: Tuesday–Thursday in office) Reports to: VP, Animation & Digital Content Position Summary Hasbro Entertainment is seeking an accomplished and self‑motivated Vice President of Production to lead the company’s global production operations across animation and digital content, spanning our SVOD, broadcast, and digital‑first pipelines. This is a unique opportunity to rebuild and shape the future of Hasbro’s production team in the UK, establishing new systems, partnerships, and processes that power a multi‑format global slate. The VP, Production will oversee strategy and execution across animation, live‑action, stop‑motion, and mixed media, ensuring Hasbro’s content is delivered to world‑class standards while driving efficiency, innovation, and scalability. Key Responsibilities Production Leadership & Strategy Oversee all production management across Hasbro’s animation and digital content slate, from greenlight through delivery. Build and lead a best‑in‑class production operation based in the UK, delivering content for global platforms, and partnering with teams and vendors across the world. Identify, onboard, and develop vendor partners globally, fostering long‑term relationships that build capability, quality, and efficiency across Hasbro’s production network. Develop and maintain scalable production systems, workflows, and vendor partnerships spanning the UK, Europe, North America, and Asia. Lead budget and schedule creation for SVOD and broadcast series; partner with Finance and Business Affairs to align on scope, incentives, and fiscal strategy. Serve as Hasbro Entertainment’s senior production representative with partners including Netflix, Disney, Amazon, and Paramount, as well as external partner studios and vendors. Champion innovation in production methodologies, workflows, and technology – including the targeted application and smart integration of AI – to increase scalability and efficiency. Leverage data and production insights to inform forecasting, vendor selection, and continuous improvement initiatives. Oversee compliance with union, guild, and performer agreements (ACTRA, SAG‑AFTRA, Equity), as well as local labour regulations. Lead production incentive and rebate strategy globally, including identifying and expanding production into new territories. Collaborate closely with Franchise, Brand, and Marketing teams to ensure production plans align with content strategy, release windows, and consumer product priorities. Operational Excellence & Team Leadership Provide strategic leadership to the production management team, ensuring clear communication, accountability, and consistency across projects. Rebuild and grow the UK‑based production function, establishing structure, culture, and clear standards for delivery and collaboration. Oversee all budgets, schedules, and production documentation, ensuring transparency, strong financial governance, and robust production systems – setting new processes where needed and reviewing existing ones on an ongoing basis. Champion financial discipline and ROI‑focused production planning, balancing creative quality with commercial efficiency across all formats. Drive proactive risk assessment and contingency planning across the production slate, ensuring operational resilience, timely escalation, and minimal disruption to delivery. Drive alignment between production and creative leadership, balancing ambition with practicality and franchise priorities. Partner with Hasbro’s post‑production, creative, and brand teams to optimise workflows, delivery timelines, and resource allocation. Partner closely with the Senior Director, Strategy & Operations, to ensure production and development timelines remain aligned with wider business priorities, managing expectations and presenting creative, pragmatic solutions when conflicts arise. Mentor and develop production leaders, fostering a positive, solutions‑oriented team culture grounded in continuous improvement and a Kaizen mindset, supporting both staff and freelance contributors. External Representation & Relationship Management Act as the face of Hasbro’s production capabilities to studios, co‑production partners, vendors, and platform partners, negotiating production feedback, schedule adjustments, and budget alterations with a balance of firmness and flexibility to maintain both partner trust and production integrity. Negotiate production and vendor agreements in partnership with Business & Legal Affairs. Represent Hasbro Entertainment at industry events and forums relevant to production and technology. Key Skills & Competencies Extensive senior leadership experience in animation or VFX production. Proven ability to build or rebuild production teams and systems in a fast‑moving, high‑stakes environment. Deep understanding of international production pipelines, workflows, and tax incentives. Strong production management and scope negotiation skills; capable of balancing creative ambition with production and commercial realities. Collaborative, decisive, and forward‑thinking leader with exceptional communication and organisational skills. Highly skilled at influencing without authority, able to build trust, alignment, and momentum across diverse teams and stakeholders. Comfortable operating within a complex, matrixed organisation, able to drive progress, alignment, and momentum across multiple functions and stakeholder groups. Entrepreneurial and self‑starting, with the drive to establish new operational models and lead through change. A versatile operator who can effortlessly shift between strategic, big‑picture thinking and detailed, hands‑on problem solving, adapting to whatever the moment requires. Calm under pressure, with a natural ability to solve problems and maintain momentum in complex, deadline‑driven environments. Preferred Qualifications Experience overseeing productions across multiple formats (animation, live action, stop motion, mixed media). Expert understanding of SVOD and broadcaster delivery requirements and technical standards. Strong relationships within the global animation and production community.
