We’re looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Disability Advisor to join the Disability Service. You’ll bring a proactive, “can-do” attitude and a commitment to delivering excellent service in a fast-paced, supportive environment.About the RoleThe Disability Service provides advice and support to a diverse range of students with disabilities and long-term health conditions. As a Disability Advisor, you’ll manage a caseload of students — often with complex support requirements — and provide advice and guidance from pre-application through to graduation.You’ll also work closely with academic and professional staff across the University, deliver disability awareness and inclusive practice training, and liaise with external agencies such as assessors, support providers, and funding bodies. This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same.About YouProven experience supporting individuals with disabilities, ideally in an education or advisory settingThe ability to handle confidential information with sensitivity and professionalismStrong organisational skills and the manage a busy and complex caseloadA collaborative, flexible approach and a commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusionExperience with case management systems, data handling, and a working knowledge of relevant legislation (e.g., the Equality Act 2010) would be an advantage.Why Join Us?At the University of Greater Manchester, we’re dedicated to creating an inclusive and accessible environment for all students.
