We’re looking for a Trustee Treasurer to join our board and help guide our mission to improve educational outcomes in our Alternative Provision (AP) school, which operates with a strong Christian ethos. What difference will you make? As Trustee Treasurer, you will ensure our financial health and help us maximise our resources to enhance educational outcomes. Your oversight will enable us to meet independent school standards, improve our Ofsted rating, and support future expansion. Your guidance will empower our staff, foster a stable environment for students, and strengthen our capacity to make a positive impact in the community. What are we looking for? A finance professional. Knowledge of charity finance is an advantage. Otherwise an enthusiasm to learn, drawing from sound commercial experience and an understanding of SMEs. A strategic thinker with the ability to balance risk and opportunity. Clear communicator who can bring financial information alive to non‑financial specialists. Willing to play an active role in areas such as forecasting, setting budgets, liaising with auditors. What will you be doing? Our organisation is committed to achieving a strong Ofsted rating, meeting independent school standards, and expanding to two additional sites. Key Qualities & Attributes Senior Leadership Experience (SLT) – proven track record in financial leadership, preferably within education or a not‑for‑profit setting. Financial Management Expertise – skills in budgeting, forecasting, financial risk assessment, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Commitment to Christian Values – passion for our Christian ethos, with the ability to support and promote these values in financial and operational decisions. Understanding of School Settings – familiarity with the unique financial and operational challenges of Alternative Provision schools. Governance Experience – ability to provide constructive challenge, work collaboratively with senior staff, and contribute to strategic decisions. #J-18808-Ljbffr
