Job Overview We are looking for a Scheduling Co‑ordinator to join our team on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. Our aim is to create a more efficient and sustained workforce that is resourced effectively, with our customers at the forefront of our mindset, and as part of our approach, we aim to achieve a 90% utilisation target or higher within our works schedule. Responsibilities As a Scheduler, you will report directly into the Networks Operational Delivery team and will work as part of a wider team of schedulers responsible for optimising the work plan for our operational teams. Schedule work to ensure priorities are addressed and deliver to meet programme and customer requirements. Program all periods of annual leave and training in advance to identify any under‑resourced areas. Collate and process all required paperwork, validating and submitting to authorised parties. Assist with internal and external customer enquiries via email and telephone, acting as a point of contact for local authorities and processing notifications. Respond to emergency events, including severe weather, as and when required, supporting teams to respond appropriately for their role. Attend daily huddles to provide feedback on progress and improvement opportunities, raising concerns and seeking validation for any queries. Qualifications Previous experience in scheduling, administration, and/or customer‑focused roles. Excellent administration and communication skills, with the ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment. Proven experience working to SLAs and KPIs, delivering results and demonstrating a continuous improvement mindset. Advanced IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office (particularly Excel), and the ability to analyse, interpret, and summarise data with exceptional attention to detail. Experience coordinating staff, resources, schedules, budgets, meeting deadlines and maintaining a high level of accuracy.
