Working in the MASH provides an ideal opportunity to work in a unique multi‑agency team with partner agencies such as police, health, probation, children’s social care, and the fire service to share information and provide proportionate and timely responses to adult safeguarding enquiries. The MASH also offers an established and supportive culture where you will be able to utilise your social work skills and expertise in safeguarding, which in turn, will contribute towards your career progression. As an experienced social worker, you will demonstrate your continued professional development and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, whilst supporting colleagues and partners to make timely and proportionate decisions to meet the needs of the service. You will also have experience of leadership, coaching, mentoring and supervision for social workers or community care officers. You will be responsible for the day‑to‑day operations of the team and will contribute towards the continued professional development alongside the improvement of existing processes, to deliver an efficient and effective service. You will work in partnership with agencies to ensure that the quality of information shared between agencies is proportionate, whilst balancing risk and ensuring that the person’s views and wishes are gathered in line with making safeguarding personal. Essential responsibilities As an ASWP, you must be able to evidence the skills required to prioritise risk and effectively manage your own workload whilst identifying any issues or concerns that may impact on service delivery and escalating these appropriately. You will need to evidence examples of your ability to think and work creatively to create an environment where colleagues and other agencies are encouraged and supported to explore professional curiosity, risk management, mental capacity and person‑centred outcomes. You will have a thorough working knowledge of the Nottinghamshire adult social care’s current adult care strategies and understanding of developments in safeguarding adults both locally and nationally.
