We call this ‘Our Nottinghamshire Approach’. Watch the two‑minute animation to learn more. We currently have vacancies in the Bassetlaw Family Support and Safeguarding Team, a multidisciplinary team consisting of experienced social workers, newly qualified social workers, early help case managers, family support workers and apprentices. We also welcome a worker from Women’s Aid and will soon join a worker from Change, Grow, Live (drug and alcohol service). As an advanced practitioner you will be the allocated social worker for a limited number of children with complex family circumstances and, under the direction of the Team Manager, will co‑work and provide support to social workers to increase their knowledge and skills in high‑quality assessment, analysis and risk management. You will have supervisory responsibility for a small number of workers and will support reflective and group supervision within the team. Responsibilities Allocate as the advanced practitioner social worker for a limited number of children with complex family circumstances. Supervise a small number of workers and facilitate reflective and group supervision within the team. Provide oversight and support to social workers working with child in need and child protection plans, looked after by alternative carers, foster, and kinship carers, and within pre‑proceedings and care proceedings. Qualifications Minimum 3 years post‑qualifying experience in children’s social care. Experience of mentoring and supervising others. Sound knowledge and experience of court work.
