Tasks will include taking phone calls from service users, their families and professionals, minute taking, typing of clinical letters and helping to maintain and input data for a number of audits and systems needed for the smooth running of the service. Full training will be given for this and other NHS systems if required. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team you will need to be able to communicate well and work with professionals from a variety of professional backgrounds and a have a compassionate, holistic and person-centred approach. The duties include carrying out administrative tasks such as processing new referrals, typing letters and reports, arranging appointments, email management, taking notes a weekly team meetings and ad hoc Professionals Meetings, maintaining databases, data entry, ordering stationery, goods and services, photocopying, scanning and other admin tasks as required. Successful candidates are normally appointed to the bottom of the pay scale unless previous NHS experience in a similar role can be evidenced. SPFT takes its responsibilities for safeguarding children, young people and adults at risk very seriously. We expect all staff and bank workers to share this commitment and complete the relevant safeguarding training for their role. This will include handling telephone enquiries from patients and their families, carers and professionals in a pleasant and helpful manner ensuring to take accurate messages and communicating information clearly.
