Transport Assistant Join MTS Cleansing Services Ltd as a Transport Assistant. This role supports the transport team in delivering safe and efficient customer services. Position Details Location: Stanley House, Anthonys Way, Medway City Estate, Rochester, Kent, ME2 4NFReporting Manager: SST Divisional ManagerHours: Monday – Friday, Alternate weeks 06:00am‑16:00pm & 08:00am‑18:00pm (unpaid lunch)Salary: £12.60ph / £29,484 Annually What We Offer 20 days holiday plus bank holidays MTS Uniform and Company events Company pension and health & wellbeing programme Free on‑site parking and referral programme Death In Services benefit Key Duties and Accountability Liaise with and assist other sections to deliver operational and administrative services Support Senior Transport Teams Roles and Responsibilities – Transport Assistant Logistics & Planning Assist line manager in delivering planned and reactive services to customers following established procedures. Monitor and analyse data to identify trends and opportunities for operational improvement. Track daily vehicle revenue. Manage planning of works during line manager’s absence. Customer Service Receive service requests verbally or electronically, provide advice and prices, coordinate resources to meet agreed timescales. Address and resolve complaints in a timely professional manner. Liaise with other departments and assist in delivering operational and administrative services to internal and external customers. Data Processing & Administration Manage in‑house systems and databases (Weighsoft, CTrack, Ortec, AAIR). Maintain office files and ensure correct job documentation. Manage driver timesheets and hours in manager’s absence. Health & Safety – Transport Assistant Understand and comply with the company health and safety policy. Promote a positive health, safety culture and lead by example. Ensure all works activities are carried out safely in accordance with legislative, company requirements and risk assessments. Maintain housekeeping of the works and welfare areas. Complete all required company documentation. Report all health, safety and environmental incidents to the Line Manager within 2 hours. Be aware of the company fire and first aid arrangements and emergency evacuation procedures. Qualifications / Competency Previous experience in fleet resources and the transport, waste or logistics industry desired. Ability to take responsibility for your own workload and work with a minimum of supervision. Proficient using Microsoft Office (Word and Excel). Good communicator, able to provide clear oral and written advice to field teams and management. Organising and planning skills to establish and follow work programmes. Reliable, responsible, numerate and commercially aware. Receptive to training and new ways of working. Ability to work well under pressure.
