Plus you’d join 9,000 people across 72 nationalities working on this exciting section of HS2 across the region.We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Principal Landscape Clerk of Works within the Sustainability Function. This role will be based on site in Birmingham.Role ResponsibilitiesExperience and knowledge of large-scale soft landscape delivery on site – including soils suitability, setting out of soft landscape, working with sub-contractors, maintenance inspection and beat up surveys.Understanding of landscape specifications, planting schedules, planting plans, master plans and maintenance plans.Experience of managing large scale soft landscaping contracts from design through to construction and establishment.Experience of managing landscape construction programmes.Attendance of design review meetings with the subcontractor and client.Experienced requiredProject management experience of budgets and construction programme.Landscape / horticultural qualification.Site experience of large-scale soft landscape implementation (minimum 5 years), working with landscape contractors.Good interpersonal and communication skills – ability to consult with others and present.Determination to see tasks through to completion, with excellent planning and organisation skills.Experience of implementing landscape works from design through to construction and establishment on a large scale.Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card or equivalent.Experience of soil handling management.Good understanding of Health and Safety and Hazard identification.Good knowledge of seeding, planting and fencing materials / methods.Understanding of construction methodologies, operations, and processes.Experience in records completion and organisational skills – in view of completion of site check lists.Experience of managing others.Driving licence.Please note candidates will need to have a current valid right to work in the UK to be considered for this role.Benefits of working with usCar / car allowanceFlexible working available for some rolesFree parkingTravel allowance for eligible candidatesFamily friendly leave policiesExcellent pension contributionsHealthcareHealth risk assessmentsAccess to employee assistance programmesAccess to annual flu vaccinationsAbout Balfour Beatty VINCIBalfour Beatty VINCI is a long-established joint venture between two powerhouses for the delivery of critical infrastructure across rail, transport and other iconic projects in the UK and beyond.
