GP Partner - Wyre Forest Health Partnership NHS West Midlands, England, United Kingdom Job Summary Wyre Forest Health Partnership (WFHP) offers up to 8 sessions per week for GP Partners. This role is based primarily at the Kidderminster Medical Centre, with opportunities for cross‑site working across the partnership’s five sites (Kidderminster, Bewdley, Stourport, Hagley, etc.). The partnership employs 300 staff, supports training across GP registrars, medical students and F2s, and provides a stable, collaborative environment. Main duties Support the development of specialist clinical interests and lead teaching, research, and quality improvement initiatives. Contribute to partnership‑level portfolios including finance, business development, site leadership, and clinical compliance. Deliver an eight‑session, eight‑week work pattern: 15 contacts per routine session, six weeks annual leave, one week paid study leave, and support from a multi‑disciplinary team. Participate in regular away‑day sessions, training workshops, supervision meetings, and cross‑partnership educational meetings. Workload format (per partnership) Each routine session capped at 15 contacts. No home visits for GP partners – home visiting is ANP-led. Six weeks annual leave plus bank holidays. One week guaranteed paid study leave per year. Innovative back‑room function minimizing review of long‑term condition results. All GPs provided with laptops; flexible working supported. Support from pharmacists, physiotherapists, and care coordinators. Experienced triage GPs book appointments – all booked contacts are GP‑appropriate. Regular away‑day sessions and educational meetings. Person specification Qualifications Professional medical qualification. Evidence of continuous professional development. Experience in primary care. Experience (Essential) Ability to work independently. Auditing practice compliance against NICE technology assessment guidance. Desirable Experience Previous primary care or GP practice role. Track record of achievement in quality, patient safety and patient experience. Experience in partnership working and stakeholder engagement. Personal Attributes (Essential) Self‑directed practitioner. Highly motivated and enthusiastic. Flexible and team‑playing. Ability to work across boundaries.
