Job Summary Trinity Court Surgery is looking for a GP to join a friendly, innovative practice in Stratford‑On‑Avon. The role is a maternity locum cover starting mid‑April 2026, with 5 or 6 sessions per week, ideally beginning in September. Trinity is an approved GP training practice with a skilled clinical team. Location Trinity Court Surgery, Arden Street, Stratford‑upon‑Avon, Warwickshire, CV37 6HJ Contract Locum – 6 months. Working pattern: full‑time, part‑time, flexible working. Responsibilities Provide surgery consultations, telephone consultations and home visits, keeping updated patient records. Cover day‑to‑day duties, extended hours, duty doctor duties. Make autonomous clinical decisions for self‑referenced or referred patients. Assess undifferentiated conditions, screen for disease risk factors and early signs of illness. Develop disease‑management care plans in line with current protocols. Provide counselling and health education. Admit or discharge patients and refer to other care providers as required. Record clear, contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards. Collect audit data and issue computer‑generated acute and repeat prescriptions. Prescribe in accordance with the practice formulary. Give active input to the primary‑care team regarding health‑needs research, audits and data collection. Assist with administrative workload when covering absences. Participate in practice meetings, training and events. Other Responsibilities Adhere to all practice policies on prescribing, confidentiality, data protection and health & safety. Commit to life‑long learning, evidence‑based audit, and clinical standard‑setting. Contribute to the development of computer‑based records and patient coding. Attend training, events and, on occasion, partner meetings. Qualifications Essential: GMC registered GP. Essential: Ability to provide quality care, excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Desirable: Knowledge of EMIS. Confirmation of Eligibility UK Registration – current UK professional registration required. Disclose and Barring Service Check – subject to Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.
