Job Overview Are you passionate about developing others and shaping high‑quality training within a specialist healthcare environment? This will be an exciting deputy leadership opportunity within our dynamic Aseptic Services Team in the Pharmacy Department. You will contribute directly to the safe delivery of chemotherapy and other essential cancer treatments for patients across Berkshire and will play a key role in developing, coordinating and delivering training for staff within the Aseptic Services Unit, supporting competency‑based learning and ensuring all staff are confident, knowledgeable and compliant with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). Responsibilities Support the management of the effective and safe daily running of the Pharmacy Aseptic Services Unit, ensuring a GMP‑compliant service for the timely supply of aseptically prepared medicines. Ensure safe provision and maintain the highest standards of patient‑focused care in the pharmacy aseptic service. Collaborate with Lead and Deputy Lead Aseptic Services Technicians to deliver robust and effective staff training. Provide necessary education and training in relation to aseptic services for pharmacy, medical and nursing staff. Support day‑to‑day aseptic operations, staff supervision and work planning. You Will Bring Recent experience working in aseptic services. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Sound knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). Experience in staff supervision, training others and collaborative team working. A passion for supporting learning, development and high‑quality patient care. Qualifications NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services or BTEC in Pharmaceutical Sciences or SCOTVEC, or equivalent, plus professional registration as a Pharmacy Technician or Science Manufacturing Technician. Methodical approach to work with accurate and precise attention to detail. Fluent in oral and written English with strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience of stock control, ability to work with high concentration and independently or as part of a team. Ability to use initiative, remain calm and adapt to changing circumstances. Desirable: procedure/policy writing, up‑to‑date experience with isolator technology and aseptic preparation of chemotherapy products, knowledge of GMP and related regulations, supervisory experience.
