Post Specialist Dietitian – GI (Fixed-term) Location: The Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, NHS Lothian. Salary Band 6. Employment type: Fixed-term, Hours: 37 per week. Department: Dietetics. We are seeking an experienced Dietitian to join our acute in‑patient dietetic team, focusing on supporting the GI ward. The post holder will provide clinical dietetic care, including assessment, planning, monitoring and review of patients, and will engage in student training (B & C placements). They will also support other clinical specialties as required. Key responsibilities: Deliver dietetic care for GI ward patients, including assessment, planning, monitoring and review. Provide student training for B & C placements. Support other clinical specialties in dietetic matters. Engage in supervision, peer support, CPD and annual appraisals. Key qualifications and experience: Qualified Dietitian with relevant NHS experience. Experience in major trauma and intestinal surgery is desirable. Current PVG Scheme membership or record for the required regulatory group. Valid UK work permission.
