OverviewNHSL 225466 R1 Community Mental Health Nurse (LI) – NHS LothianNorth East Edinburgh Community Mental Health Team. Part-time hours would be considered.Join to apply for the NHSL 225466 R1 Community Mental Health Nurse (LI) role at NHS Lothian.ResponsibilitiesTo undertake the role of the Community Mental Health Nurse utilising specialist clinical knowledge to inform decision making and clinical judgment from initial assessment through to discharge. To provide specialist advice to the multidisciplinary team in relation to the management of patient conditions through the assessment, treatment and review planning process in partnership with the patient/carer.Provide specialist advice to healthcare professionals, other agencies, carers, clients and relatives.The postholder will be a key part of delivering the strategic priority for improving access to mental health services.Support the development of the service to improve practice and work collaboratively across healthcare boundaries, implementing and evaluating evidence based standards, guidelines and policies.To provide teaching and supervision to junior staff and students.Requirements / QualificationsThis post requires PVG Scheme membership/record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.To work in the United Kingdom, there is a legal requirement to demonstrate the relevant permission to work. This permission is granted by the UK Visa and Immigration Service.Note: due to legislative changes from 1 April 2025, this post may require a different level of criminal records check.
